Howdy! My journey to becoming the physical therapy application coach has been a long time coming. I decided to become a physical therapist in 2012 while serving a church service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Raleigh, North Carolina. I knew I wanted to work in healthcare because I have always been fascinated with how intricate and adaptable the human body is. Just think about all of the systems in your body that have to be working properly at this very moment for you to be reading my bio! Or for me to be able to type in full sentences, recall my memories, and design a website! Let's not even talk about walking, running, or performing high level athletics. I especially appreciate how physical therapy emphasizes using the naturally occurring processes in the body to help people improve their function, reach their goals, and improve their quality of life. This is what will make us stand out and become even more valuable to our patients and the healthcare community. During my senior year at Brigham Young University I was the president of the pre-physical therapy club we had on campus. Before becoming the president, I joined the presidency in 2013 and began helping our club members find a wide variety of observation hours as well as academic research and service opportunities. Serving in these capacities helped me discover that I have a gift and passion for educating others about how they can get into PT school. While president, I also shifted the club's focus to help our members become the most competitive applicants possible. In 2015, I married my amazing wife, applied to 6 PT programs, and was accepted into 5 of them. Ultimately, I chose to attend Northern Arizona University's Phoenix campus for my DPT degree. I graduated in 2018 and have been working in outpatient orthopedics since then as well as coaching. With over a decade's worth of coaching experience helping applicants to get accepted into DPT programs all across the country, I am excited to work with you to help you be one step closer to your DPT dreams.
